The pre-primary wing of the school comprises of classes Pre Nursery, Nursery
and catering to the needs and demands of early childhood learning. Bearing in mind that at this age the foundation of a child's personality is laid and two third of his intellect is formed, we have created an environment and a system of teaching which is
1. Entirely child friendly environment.
2. students learn social skills, free-play, develop verbal ability and imbibe the skills and joy of creating things with their own hands through art and crafts which is an integral part of the curriculum.
3.The curriculum is open-ended with the focus is on experiential learning. Formal learning of the three Rs is introduced in Nursery. It finds a more prominent place in the Prep curriculum which includes recognition, reading and writing of the Hindi and English alphabet, small words and basic mathematical concepts.
4.Environmental studies is taught with project based activities and Value education making students more adaptable to different situations.
The focus in Prep is on cognitive development
and enhancement of the language and interpersonal skills. The children are sensitized to the social and cultural concerns and encouraged to think, reflect on issues and arrive at their own solutions. The main objective behind the curriculum is to enable the children to communicate effectively and to develop the integrated skills and creativity required for them to grow as confident and independent individuals.
The syllabus becomes more broad based at this level and gradually the young learner is exposed to a wide range of subjects and study material which is suitably graded in accordance with the CCE.
As early as class I, students learn to work on computers in the Multimedia Lab which has been especially equipped to meet the needs of the young learners.
From class V onwards, the school offers the students the choice to learn any one of the two languages- Sanskrit, and French as Third Language. A plethora of choices is given to students for Work Experience classes ranging from public speaking, cookery to clay modeling. Last but not the least, in order to inculcate moral values and general awareness of the students, inter-active sessions are held in the Value education classes.
The teaching of all the subjects is done using the Extra marks Smart boards.This makes learning a joyful experience for students.
From Class VI to class VIII the academic curriculum as well as the co-curricular activities, encourages creativity, aesthetics
All students study English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Social Studies (History, Civics and Geography) and an optional language (French, or Sanskrit). Co-curricular activities include (Art, Music, Dance, Clubs and House activities), Physical and Health Education and Computer Education.
There are going to be two types of Assessments :- Formative & Summative. The formative assessments in each semester will comprise of Monday tests, activities, oral assessments, quizzes, debates, projects, etc These assessments are to be carried out to provide continuous feedback to both the teachers and the learners to take decisions regarding appropriate modifications in the transactional procedures and learning activities.
The summative assessment which is a pen and paper examination carried out at the end of each Semester, measures or 'sums up' how much a student has learnt from the prescribed course. Evaluation of the Scholastic Aspect will be conducted according to the C.B.S.E.
The clubs motivate, challenge and help discover the latent talent of every child in the school. They are groomed and channeled into their field of interest by the clubs that are open for them. DPS Siddharth Vihar is providing different types of clubs for all round development of students.
Students are imparted training in Indian as well as Western music, vocal as well as instrumental.
Students are taught various dance forms including Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary as well as Indian classical like kathak, Chhau etc.
The artistic talents of our students are nurtured through meticulously planned activities. Painting, drawing, clay modeling are some of the areas our children are adept at.
Children who have a scientific bent of mind, benefit a lot out of this club, because of the opportunities for experimentation, observation and analysis that go beyond the classroom.
It aims at exploring websites and programs, creating multimedia presentations, and designing website. Children learn to work on and create their own blogs.

Cooking without Fire
The purpose is to make students self dependent and adept at making simple things to eat.
Drama is a dynamic practice that introduces students to a world of wonder and play. It encourages them to continue questioning, exploring and teasing out new ideas and ways of living and thinking. We have trained theatre faculty who teach the students the nuances of public speaking, expression and body language.
